Premiere: “Back to the Bog” by The Worms

SOMETHINGGOOD is delighted to present the second album from explosive pop punk band The Worms. Back to the Bog comes out tomorrow via French tape label (and friend of the blog) Hidden Bay Records — but since you seem like good people, you can listen to an exclusive stream below.

It’s been four years since The Worms — the London-based trio featuring members of Primitive Parts, Cold Pumas and Primetime — released their 2016 debut Everything In Order via Double Negative.

Four years is an eternity in indiehead years so The Worms don’t mess around on Back to the Bog, banging out chunky guitar riffs from the get-go and delivering their original, chaotic sound with extreme prejudice and efficiency.

Not a moment is wasted on Back to the Bog’s 10 precious melodies, which are punctuated by the breathless closer and lead single “Sex Robot.”

Flora, Oliver and Jack (not necessarily in that order)

Back to the Bog is the second (and hopefully not last) Hidden Bay Records album premiered via SOMETHINGGOOD, following Jonny Shitbag & The Smokes’ 2018 debut. You can buy it on limited edition cassette via Bandcamp.
