This haunting, jaw-dropping single from Palehound — the Boston-based trio led by songwriter extraordinaire Ellen Kempner — was meant to grab your attention.
She explained when the track came out last month:
“‘Your Boyfriend’s Gun’ is about loving people who love men with guns. It’s about the conversation of what protection is, how a person can claim they’re protecting and caring for you when they are putting you in harm’s way in ways they can’t process.”
It’s been a breakout year for Palehound, which released their critically-lauded LP Black Friday in February.
