Four days ahead of its release date, SOMETHINGGOOD proudly presents the new acoustic-ish album from indie folk artist Gozer Goodspeed. The Impossible To Pick Up EP, available worldwide on June 8, is the Plymouth, UK native’s third collaboration with Josiah Manning (Kris Barras Band) handling production duties.

So what exactly do I mean by “acoustic-ish?” Here’s how Goodspeed — a “riotous rabble-rouser” and accomplished live performer with over 700 gigs across the West and Southwest of England under his belt — explained it to me:

I’m attempting to push the limits of what can be considered an “acoustic” record with a whole wave of interesting sounds, layers and textures. It’s alt-folk, or new-folk, that strays into psyche-folk here and there. Or perhaps it’s blues folk with added groove and strangeness. I’ll let listeners decide.

The Impossible To Pick Up EP follows Goodspeed’s The Rattlebone Colour EP (released in 2016) and The Barrel Headlong Into the Night EP (2017). As mentioned, the new record doesn’t come out until Friday — fortunately, SOMETHINGGOOD has an exclusive stream for you to enjoy. Give it a listen now!

Pre-order the album via Bandcamp, or visit Goodspeed’s online music store.
