If you’re in the Los Angeles area tonight, you’d be well advised to hit up Bardot Hollywood for the opening date on Rich Aucoin‘s anti-depression, cross-country bike tour called PRESS ON (keep scrolling for the full schedule).
Yes, a bike tour. The Nova Scotia-based artist will be bicycling from city to city to raise mental health awareness. On top of that, all tour proceeds go to Mental Health America and The Canadian Mental Health Association.
A few more details from a press statement: “Aucoin will be joined by bandmates in each city as he pedals alone across the deserts, mountains and forests of America. At each show, fans can expect a joyous celebratory event.”
But even if you’re not the charitable or celebratory type, you should go — Aucoin is sure to play songs from his excellent new Hold EP, which is a dreamy departure from the high-tempo sound of his previous releases. “The Dream,” the latest single from Hold (and my personal favorite from the record, released March 16), is our Song of the Day.
