For her mesmerizing new single, singer-songwriter Delaire brought in a ringer: Grammy Award-winning engineer Liam Nolan, best known for his work on Adele’s smash hit “Hello.” The collaboration resulted in “You Boy,” a potent pop tune highlighted by the North London artist’s distinct vocals.
Delaire — whose musical career began in earnest last spring with her debut single “Loving You” — is following an unconventional path toward pop stardom, and hopes to inspire others in her position to pursue their own ambitions. She explained in a press statement:
“As a 28 year-old female, I want to be a voice of encouragement for other women my age that are trying to break into the industry. I want women to know it took me time to find my voice and my sound and that that’s okay — we are allowed to take our time.”
