Somehow, an indie-pop project led by Paris-based singer/multi-instrumentalist Erwan Pépiot, put out the enchanting Hidden Memories in June. I completely slept on it during the initial release cycle, but have been more than making up for lost time since being tipped off to the record’s existence late last week.

Hidden Memories‘ lead single — “While the Days Go By” — exists in the sweet spot between Joy Division and Belle and Sebastian, with Pépiot’s warm, Morrissey-esque baritone layered atop vibrant guitar/bass lines.

Hidden Memories was released via Toolong Records. Check out “While the Days Go By” (and its downright adorable accompanying video) below. And have a nice day while you’re at it.
