I’ve gushed about the Australian music scene over and over, so it should come as no surprise I’ve selected another talented Aussie for today’s featured track: Melborne native and Dead Oceans-signee Alex Lahey. “Lotto In Reverse” is the song, from the artist’s debut album I Love You Like A Brother, due out October 6.

It’s a snarling rock track about a soured long-distance relationship, with Lahey sounding fierce while dropping bombs on a newly-former love (“Oh, you didn’t want me back the same/You’re so fucked up anyway”) and reaffirming that she’s better off alone. Check it out below — and keep your ears peeled for that slinking bassline. I love it.
