Strange Ranger, the band formerly known as Sioux Falls, are dropping their second LP — Daymoon — on October 6. It follows this Portland post-punk outfit’s sprawling 2016 full-length debut Rot Forever and — per Strange Ranger’s label — is the product of a much more focused and restrained creative process.
From the Tiny Engines website:
While Rot Forever seemed like a band throwing absolutely everything out there, Daymoon pulls back and showcases a heightened attention to detail from the group. Yet that honest heart-on-sleeve songwriting still remains even if the band has chosen subtler paths to deliver their message.
“Sophie” is the atmospheric, second-released single from Daymoon.
